Vaccines

Vaccinations are
administered based on risk assessment, previous vaccination history, and the patient’s health status. Dr. Steve provides mobile and in-clinic vaccination services in accordance with
the guidelines described by the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Association of Feline Practioners.  Vaccines are divided into two general categories:  core vaccines vs. non-core vaccines.

Core vaccines are recommended for all pets at any life stage.  The diseases we wish to protect against are ubiquitous in the environment and can be transmitted to your pet easily weather they live indoors or outdoors.  Non-core vaccines may be recommended for your pet based on the environment, location, upcoming travel, and in the case of locally emerging diseases.

Rabies
